... is the first exhibition for the M. Collective as a whole, unified and under one roof. This exhibit will consist of works in various mediums, dimensions and substrates. Please join the M. Collective & OhNo!Doom in celebrating this collection of new works from artists Tyler Coey, Matthew Ryan Sharp, Yosiell Lorenzo, and Brent Nolasco in their only 2012 Chicago exhibition. In 2009, artist Tyler Coey decided to band together a group of like minded, creative individuals. The formation of this group or collective as it is now known has flown under the radar…releasing a product here, unleashing some prints there and slowly creeping through the seedy underbelly of the contemporary art world. Each member of the collective has had their own personal success and being a member has just fueled the creative machine as a group.

A Scenic Riot: New paintings by BASK
BASK is the moniker of one, Ales BASK Hostomsky, who along with his parents emigrated from Czechoslovakia to Florida and began to soak up America's popular iconic imagery along with the sun. He quickly began to notice similarities between the communistic iconic propaganda from his youth and the consumer advertising of his teens.
Bask soon discovered that they were simply, two sides of the same coin, each vying for our short-lived attention spans, all the while selling us (or telling us?) anything and everything from Marxism to McDonalds. Seeking conspiracies -and finding them embedded in the popular iconography of the mass media, Bask began painting bold, media critical broadsides to assuage his fear of being manipulated. A fear cultivated in a repressive regime, had now returned, but to the most unlikely and safest of places- The American living room.

Kali Meadows holds her pen in a funny way. Doing so has left a permanent bump on her ring-finger; a true mark of an illustrator. When she isn't doodling, she can be found admiring baby sloths and cracking open fresh coconuts in the sunshine of Los Angeles, CA.
Keith Noordzy grew up in Florida hunting giant squids and dinosaurs. Over the years these ancient creatures started disappearing, leaving only visions and memories of those once great adventures.
